A dramatic high-speed pursuit unfolded when a state trooper ran to assist a traffic stop and slipped in the wet grass while approaching the vehicle. The driver, refusing to stop, re-entered traffic and led officers on a multi-mile chase. The trooper successfully used a Pursuit Intervention Technique to force the vehicle off the road, but the suspect regained control and drove the wrong way down the interstate, creating a highly dangerous situation before authorities were able to bring the chase to an end.
