A state trooper responded to a report of a man stranded in a frigid river and, without hesitation, waded into the icy water and held the man stay afloat until a rescue boat could arrive. The man was suffering from severe hypothermia, yet thanks to the trooper’s quick actions, he was safely transported to a hospital and has since regained consciousness and is expected to recover.
