A chain-reaction collision occurred when the first motorcycle struck a stationary vehicle, causing several motorcycles behind it to crash after failing to brake in time. Multiple riders were thrown from their vehicles, and several appeared to be injured. Emergency responders arrived and assisted those hurt, while traffic slowed during the removal of damaged motorcycles and debris. Authorities have not yet confirmed the total number of vehicles involved or the extent of the injuries.
